Ou Meule Home (Old Mill)
Ou Meule (Old Mill) was converted from an old mill in 1973.
This is the frail care unit of DROOM.
Ou Meule can accommodate 73 frail residents, of which 25 beds are reserved for the Alzheimer Dementia Centre.
Accommodation consists of:
- 41 single rooms
- 11 double rooms
- 2 four (4) bed rooms on the first floor where the frailer elderly is cared for.
Services Offered At Ou Meule:
- Outsourced private catering company who provides 3 balanced meals daily.
- Laundry and cleaning services are done by the same private company.
- Full time professional management.
- 24-hour nursing services.
- Church services broadcasted from the Dutch Reformed Church.
- Activity program provided by social coordinator supported by volunteers.
- Weekly visits from the local provincial hospital doctor.
- Transport to the PPH clinic and private doctors.
- Two weekly visits from the local library.
- Weekly spiritual events.
- Social outings organized by social coordinator.
- Reception control officer from 07:00–19:00
